Article 1

1.1. C2H2; university gas.

1.2. It is used when necessary in oxyacetylene welding and cutting, lighthouse, chemical industry and high flame department.

2. Composition / Information About Ingredients

Pure substance: Pure substance (pure substance: 98.5%)

Trade name : Acetylene Gas

3. Definition of Hazards

C2H2; university gas. It is a highly flammable and flammable gas. Flare simulation with air is 2.2-85%. Ignition depends on the percentage of acetylene in the airway. It is slightly lighter than air. 100% safe acetylene is odourless. It has a heavy odor similar to that of commercial acetylene. The pressure increase may decompose violently as gazethylene. Suffocating effect associated with airborne additives.

4. First Aid

Inhalation : Acetylene acts as a suffocating gas by diluting lightning in the air. However, it can be designed in general without being suffocated or condemned to drowning. In order to pass for this, the casualty can be classified as suitable. If there is respiratory weakness, artificial respiration is applied. The casualty is warm and comfortable.

Skin / Eye Contact Appropriate clothing and steel-toed shoes should be worn. Face shield and eye precautions.

5. Fire Fighting Measures

Suitable extinguishing media:. Unauthorized persons should not be allowed into the fire area. And the fire place must be isolated. Ignition sources should be kept away from environments where leakage is possible. In case of fire, the increase in pressure along with the increase in temperature may cause the tube to rupture violently. Tubes exposed to fire should be cooled with water from a safe distance during and after the fire. In order to prevent gas compression, water should not be kept on the valve and safety parts of the cylinder. Otherwise, gas may collect and cause an explosion.

Water, dry chemicals and carbon dioxide can be used to extinguish the fire.

Unsuitable fire extinguishers: Water should not be used in nearby areas where calcium carbide is stored.

Harmful substances that may arise as a result of combustion: Carbon monoxide.

Special methods: If possible, the leakage should be stopped. Firefighting crews should wear respiratory protection and flame-retardant clothing.

6. Accidental Release Measures

Personal Precautions: The area where the product is spread should be evacuated immediately. Protective clothing should be worn. Carbon tube should be used at the entrances to the area where the product is spread, until the ambient atmosphere is completely safe. The area where the product is spread should be properly ventilated. There should be no smoking, no flames, fire or sparks in the danger area.

Measures to be taken in the environment: The gas leaking tube should be carefully taken to a safe area and OKSAN KOLL. STI. It must be sought.

Cleaning methods: The affected area should be ventilated.

7. Usage and Storage

Only steel or steel drawn tubing should be used for acetylene pipeline systems. Tubes should not be carried by holding their cap or valve. Ropes or chains should not be used to lift cylinders. Tubes brought to the usage area should be used upright. Appropriate regulator and equipment should be used. Gas leakage should be detected with a suitable method (soap bubble etc.). Direct naked flame or heating devices should NEVER be used to increase the pressure of the tube. The tube should NEVER be exposed to a temperature above 45°C. Gas should not be used under 0.5 bar pressure at 15 °C in order to prevent the escape of solvent from the tube into the system. A burning torch should never be brought close to the safety plug. Tubes chock, roll etc. should not be used for such purposes.

Tubes should be stored in a well-ventilated place protected against corrosion and harsh weather. The tube parts should be made of non-combustible material and the doors with a light roof should open outwards. All equipment must be non-sparking and explosion-proof. Acetylene cylinders should be kept away from oxidizing cylinders such as oxygen. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate warning signs. (No Smoking, Do Not Enter with Open Flame, etc.) Full and empty cylinders should be stored separately.

8. Exposure Controls / Personal protection

Personal protection: Protective glasses, face mask and insulated gloves should be used. Ventilation should be done to prevent the oxygen level in the air from falling below 19.5%.

9. Physical and Chemical Properties

Physical state : Gas

Appearance : Colorless, similar to garlic odor

Chemical formula: C2H2

Molecular weight: 26,04 gr/mol-gr

Boiling point: -75 0C

Explosion Limit: 2.2-85%

Density gas: 1.11 kg/m3

10. Stability and Reactivity

May form explosive mixture with air. Gas under pressure can decompose by flashing acetylene.

11. Toxicological Information

Acetylene gas can be inhaled in very high concentrations without chronic effects. If it is mixed with oxygen at high rates, it has a narcotic effect and can also be used in anesthesia. However, obtaining and using this type of mixture is very dangerous due to the risk of explosion. Acetylene acts as a suffocating gas, diluting the oxygen in the air.

12. Ecological Information

This product has no known ecological effects.

13. Disposal Information

Discharge and discharge should not be done to any environment where dangerous accumulations may occur. OKSAN KOLL. STI. Please contact with.

14. Transport Information

It should not be transported in vehicles where the place where the product is transported and the driver's compartment are not separate. It should be ensured that the vehicle driver is aware of the potential hazards of the product and knows what to do in the event of an accident or emergency. Before transporting the product by vehicles: - it should be ensured that all safety precautions are taken - transportation is carried out in accordance with the regulations in force - adequate ventilation is provided in closed tube transportation vehicles.

15. Regulatory Information

Heating may cause an explosion. It is explosive in contact with air or in the absence of air. It is very easily flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition (cigarettes, etc.). Take precautions against static electricity discharges.

16. Other Information

The information has been prepared in good faith from accessible sources and for information purposes without creating any guarantees regarding its accuracy, validity and effectiveness in any way whatsoever. Ensure that all national/regional regulations are followed. During training, the danger of suffocation should be emphasized and repeated. Before using the product in a new process or experiment, material suitability and safety should be examined.
